Landell-Mills Consulting, Bath, U.K., just released its latest report, “Opportunities in the U.S. Dairy Nutraceuticals Market.” One underlying finding of the report is that many U.S. companies have preferred to take the dietary supplement route as the key entry point for the delivery of nutraceutical benefits to consumers. The report mentions that there is a large variety of existing consumer dairy products that already have very strong nutraceutical credentials in their own right. While yogurt and yogurt drinks are obvious examples, and actively succeed in some markets on this basis, cheese can also claim a similar mantle and is arguably a more relevant example for the U.S. nutraceutical market.
