High-Performance Thin-Layer Chromatography (HPTLC) for the Analysis of Medicinal Plants by Eike Reich, PhD, and Anne Schibli was recently published for the herb/botanical community. It helps readers in the analysis and identification of botanicals for dietary supplement GMP compliance. Dr. Reich is an internationally recognized expert on thin-layer chromatography for medicinal plants, who has lectured and published articles on this subject. Dr. Reich is also the head of laboratory for CAMAG, Muttenz, Switzerland. According to the authors, HPTLC is a reliable tool that can be used to help meet the demands placed on QA (quality assurance) personnel to authenticate botanical material, thereby assuring botanical dietary supplement quality and integrity.
