Health E-Insights: What must women know?
Dr. Sellman: The most important thing that women must know is that all hormonal issues and imbalances are symptoms of underlying health problems . Women's hormones are expressions of their inner world—physically, emotionally, mentally and spiritually. To the degree women have hormonal imbalances, they need to realize that those symptoms are indicating that something is out of balance in their life. As we address these issues, we can regain our hormonal balance. Pharmaceutical intervention will never restore women to health and hormonal wellbeing.
Health E-Insights: What is the biggest health concern facing women today?
Dr. Sellman: The most significant health issue facing women today is adrenal exhaustion. Stress, lack of sleep, unresolved emotional wounds, poor diet and toxicity will contribute to severely depleted adrenals. Our adrenal glands are the foundation of our wellbeing. When the adrenal glands are exhausted we suffer with hormonal imbalances, lack of energy, sugar cravings, weight gain, especially around the middle, poor memory, anxiety and depression, allergies, weakened immunity, low thyroid and accelerated aging.
Health E-Insights: What health issues took you on your journey of writing books for women and speaking?
Dr. Sellman: During perimenopause I experienced severe anxiety attacks and insomnia every morning at 4 a.m. I also had regular night sweats, depression and estrogen dominance. These conditions were debilitating my life. As I discovered the solutions and the understanding of the root causes, I began my journey of empowering women with truthful information regarding their hormones, naturally. I was also able totally resolve all these issues.
Health E-Insights: As an international speaker how do women respond to you globally?
Dr. Sellman: Women all over the world are so desperate to find other women, like myself, who are offering truthful, safe and holistic solutions to address their hormonal challenges and changes during all stages of their life.
Health E-Insights: Is there something about you people would find surprising?
Dr. Sellman: My favorite sport is rollerblading.
Health E-Insights: What are you passionate about?
Dr. Sellman: Empowering women with truthful information so they can make the most informed decisions possible regarding their health choices.
