ENI Receives Non-GMO and Kosher Certification for GreenGrown

By: Lisa Olivo

ENI (Ethical Naturals Inc.), San Anselmo, CA, revealed that the company’s vegetable-source glucosamine ingredient, GreenGrown, has been certified non-GMO by testing lab Eurofins Scientific and certified kosher by Star-K.

A source of vegan, microbial-fermentation-derived glucosamine, these latest product certifications enhance GreenGrown’s already robust list of ingredient label advantages, which include:

  • Verified and demonstrated safe and effective in the U.S. at ENI’s NSF-certified facility under FDA 21 CFR Part 111, with full chain of custody data
  • Ingredient purity assured via a patented fermentation process
  • Pure vegetable source guaranteed via ENI’s patented ISCT (Isotopic Signature Carbon Tracing) method
  • Shellfish free
  • Manufactured under cGMPs (current Good Manufacturing Practices)
  • Non-GMO
  • Kosher certified
“GreenGrown is the ideal glucosamine ingredient for supplement manufacturers looking to grow market share among the rapidly growing vegetarian and vegan market, those prone to allergies, as well as consumers shopping for supplements that are GMO-free,” commented ENI CEO Cal Bewicke. “Receiving non-GMO and kosher verification is one more important milestone for us as we work hard to provide our customers with the ingredients they need to better serve their consumers. We’re very pleased that a trusted third-party organization like Eurofins has validated our commitment to provide only the best quality, tested vegetable-source glucosamine.”
