Thorne has introduced Hemp Oil +, a safe and natural solution to support and regulate the endocannabinoid system. By nourishing this system, Hemp Oil + can benefit users by relieving stress, easing discomfort, and improving gut motility, according to the company. For many individuals, the positive effects of Hemp Oil + can be felt immediately, the company claimed.

“Informed clinicians are increasingly aware of the huge potential health benefits of hemp oil extracts, but uncertainties about the ingredients, coupled with the lack of consistency in quality and purity, make many practitioners hesitant to recommend them,” said Dr. Robert Rountree, chief medical advisor for Thorne. “I’m very excited about Thorne’s Hemp Oil +, because discriminating clinicians can rest assured that this product has passed the highest standards of quality control available.”

Hemp Oil + is a proprietary blend of hemp stalk oil, black pepper, clove, hops, and rosemary, in a base of nutrient-rich hemp seed oil. Unlike domestic hemp extract products, most of which are not tested, Thorne uses European hemp oil, and tests it to ensure that THC levels are at or below the legal limit. Thorne’s Hemp Oil + is non-habit forming and is legal and safe to buy and administer in any state in the U.S.

“A large number of clinical research studies have shown the positive potential health benefits of targeting the endocannabinoid system, and many additional studies are underway,” said Dr. Joel Dudley, associate professor of Genetics and Genomic Sciences at Mount Sinai School of Medicine. “The broad availability of a high-quality hemp oil extract such as Hemp Oil + will allow consumers to quickly take advantage of these discoveries and maximize their health.”

Dr. Kenneth R. Pelletier, PhD, MD, and Clinical Professor of Medicine and Psychiatry at the University of California School of Medicine, San Francisco, agreed. “There are many patients looking for alternatives to drugs to manage aches and discomfort, who turn to treatments like acupuncture, and ask about nutrition and botanicals that can help,” said Dr. Pelletier. “The compounds in hemp offer real advantages for these patients because they tap into the powerful functions of the endocannabinoid system.”
