Expert Ethnobotanist David Winston Publishes New Edition of Book on Adaptogens

David Winston, RH (AHG), an internationally known lecturer, author, and ethnobotanist who founded Washington, NJ-based Herbalist & Alchemist, has published an updated version of his book Adaptogens: Herbs for Strength, Stamina and Stress Relief with co-author Steven Maimes (Simon and Schuster ISBN: 978-1-62055-958-1).
 
The book includes a decade of new research, new case histories, added herbs such as Rhaponticum, Maca and Shatavari, color photographs, and nearly 100 pages of additional information. It contains detailed knowledge to help readers understand the unique qualities of each adaptogen and their companion herbs, nervines, nootropics, and restorative tonics.
 
The first edition, published in 2007, has come to be regarded as one of the definitive sources on the topic. Winston is considered one of the world’s preeminent experts on adaptogens, and his line of adaptogenic formulas have won multiple awards.
