INS Farms Debuts Green Elderberry Whole Fruit Organic Elderberry Powder

The new whole fruit powder is standardized to have a high polyphenol and anthocyanin content.

Berry ingredients supplier INS farms announced the launch of Organic Green Elderberry, a 100% whole fruit elderberry powder which is standardized for polyphenol and anthocyanin content. INS Farms reports that Green Elderberry is the first product of its kind, in that it contains all parts of the fruit as found in nature – unlike powders that contain only elderberry juice, Green Elderberry contains the berry skins, seeds, and juice in order to provide natural fiber and other beneficial nutrients found in the whole berry which promote health and wellness.

“We call it Green Elderberry because it’s harvested straight from the fields and crafted using a clean and green manufacturing technique, free of additives, chemicals, food dyes, fillers, or preservatives,” Devon Bennett, co-owner of INS Farms, said. “It’s made with a unique, proprietary drying and milling process, using low temperatures to maintain natural integrity and the bio actives of the fruit.”

Green Elderberry is third-party tested for quality, and is Non-GMO certified, vegan, and tested under the Purity IQ certification program for authenticity. The powder is also polyphenol-fingerprinted for identification in order to verify that there is no adulteration, to provide brand marketers with confidence that their Green Elderberry products will meet identity label claims.

Organic Green Elderberry contains high levels of antioxidant polyphenols and anthocyanins, which are tested and standardized for guaranteed potency, INS Farms said. The ingredient is ideal for encapsulation, smoothie powders, tableting, gummies, and more.

Green Elderberry whole fruit powder is the latest in a line of INS Farms’ elderberry juice powders, which include ElderMune and BerryShield, all of which are 100% water-soluble.

“Brand marketers now have the opportunity to blend whole fruit elderberry powder with either purified elderberry extract or juice powders to create a full-spectrum consumer product,” Bennett said.

This all-natural ingredient can provide consumers, many of whom engaged with elderberry for the first time over the course of the pandemic, with a new option as they incorporate elderberry into their daily health regimens, Bennett said. “We’ve seen elderberry products fly off store shelves, and expect the demand to continue, setting the stage for exciting opportunities and new elderberry supplements.”
