NutraShure, an ingredient supplier and distributor in the dietary supplement and functional food and beverage markets has partnered with Stiriti Ayur Therapies to exclusively distribute a Spilanthes acmella extract marketed as SA3X to the U.S. market.
 
The botanical, commonly known as paracress, has a history of use in traditional medicine for its health-promoting effects in men’s health. Clinical studies support the use of the ingredient in men’s health products to support healthy testosterone levels, self-reported sexual wellness, and muscle mass, and four published clinical studies have been conducted on SA3X to date.
 
In one placebo-controlled clinical study involving 448 healthy males, those in the experimental group saw an 80% increase in self-reported sexual satisfaction scores after eight weeks of daily supplementation, with results achieving clinical relevance in one week.
 
A longitudinal study involving 326 healthy, sexually active men found that two months of daily supplementation with SA3X was associated with a significant increase in mean serum testosterone levels, with significance achieved by the end of a two-month period.
 
Another longitudinal study found that a population of 240 healthy males which were given 500 mg of SA3X daily saw significant increases in muscle size, strength, and self-reported sexual satisfaction by the third week of a two-month intervention, with results persisting at the end of the treatment period.
