The Naturally Proud Network (NPN), an industry nonprofit dedicated to connecting LGBTQ+ professionals in the natural products and nutraceutical industries will celebrate its fifth anniversary at SupplySide West.
 
“I’ve been so fortunate that I’ve never had to choose between a career I love and living authentically,” said Franck Gillet, co-founder. “I believe in creating an open workplace culture for everyone in our industries and am proud of the progress we’ve made toward this effort over the past five years.”
 
NPN has raised nearly $50,000 to date for a variety of organizations, including The Trevor Project and LGBTQ+ centers in Las Vegas, Chicago, and California. This year, NPN will spotlight and collect donations for The Pride Tree, a Las Vegas-based nonprofit that provides year-round programs and inclusive spaces for LGBTQ+ youth to explore their identities and develop leadership skills. This includes Camp Pride Tree, a summer camp free from traditional gender norms which is designed to boost self-esteem and foster lifelong friendships.
 
“Diversity is a powerful catalyst for new ideas, innovative thinking, and harmonious coexistence, and The Pride Tree is developing the next generation of leaders who share our commitment to spreading awareness of the need for diversity,” said Steve Siegel, board member. “We firmly believe that celebrating each other’s unique perspectives and experiences is essential for driving innovation and growth in our industry, as well as creating a better world.”
 
NPN will host a happy hour on Wednesday, Oct. 30 from 5:30-7:30 p.m. in Mandalay Bay’s South Pacific Ballroom F to celebrate its anniversary and collect donations for The Pride Tree. Those interested in attending can RSVP here or simply stop by.
