The supplier recently launched Optifolin+, a choline-enriched folate ingredient suitable for all life stages. Balchem also will offer a selection of its food and beverage innovations.
“We’re thrilled to introduce Optifolin+ to the U.S. market at SupplySide West. This unique bioactive, choline-enriched folate (L-5-methyltetrahydrofolate) is formulated to empower cellular health and support individuals during pregnancy and child development through to adulthood,” said Dominik Mattern, VP of science, business development, and marketing at Balchem Human Nutrition and Health. “In addition to Optifolin+, we’re bringing even more innovation to the forefront with game-changing solutions like K2VITAL DELTA FERMENTED, vitamin K2 from fermentation in our breakthrough microencapsulated form, and VitaCholine Pro-Flo, the first hassle-free choline for multivitamins. This year, we’re excited to unite these pioneering ingredients under our refreshed brand image, showcasing our ongoing commitment to science-driven, consumer-focused innovation that delivers real value and performance."
Balchem’s food and beverage innovations will show how its systems can enhance taste, texture, and aroma. Highlihgts will include a jasmine milk tea with prebiotic fiber, a savory nut bar with protein and encapsulated ingredients, and other ready-to-drink concepts.
A Focus on Active Nutrition
Balchem will highlight active nutrition solutions for all life stages at this year’s event, and how its ingredients can support fitness lovers and healthy aging consumers. This lineup includes:
VitaCholine to provide energy and cognitive support, as well as VitaCholine Pro-Flo, a patented microencapsulated technology to incorporate choline into multivitamins;
K2Vital, for bone and cardiovascular support, and K2Vital Delta, now available with vitamin K2 made from fermentation for improved stability in K2 and mineral combinations;
OptiMSM, for joint health, and nourishing hair, skin, and nails;
Albion Minerals, a premium range of chelated minerals, including magnesium and Ferrochel iron.
“At this year’s show, we’re also taking the opportunity to highlight our new VitaCholine approach to connect directly with consumers, spotlighting our sponsorship with the New York Jets and the latest collaborations with influencers,” said Mattern. “These activities underscore Balchem’s commitment to bridging the gap between B2B and B2C markets, creating a strong connection that resonates with consumers, boost brand visibility, and ultimately helps our clients stand out on a crowded shelf.”
At the sampling area of the booth, visitors can get a taste of co-branded finished products developed with Balchem’s ingredients, from leading U.S. brands such as Ghost and Applied Nutrition.
Rodney Benjamin, director of RA/QA, R&D, and technical support at Balchem, will deliver a presentation called “Nutrients for tomorrow’s reimagined active nutrition formulas,” on Oct. 31 at 11:30 a.m. at Booth 3683.
