Nature’s Bounty has launched Plant-Based Omega-3, a supplement which provides algae-sourced EPA and DHA. The new supplement contains 1,000 mg of vegetarian algae oil, and will be available at major retailers including Amazon, CVS, Walgreens, Publix, and Kroger.

“We’re excited to launch our new Plant-Based Omega-3 supplement, which brings the health benefits of fish oil to consumers in a vegetarian offering,” said Donna Olufade, director of marketing. “Many people don’t realize that fish are rich sources of omega-3s because of the algae in their food chain. We went straight to the source, algae, to develop our new Plant-Based Omega-3 supplement to support consumers who prefer a vegetarian diet or plant-based ingredients.”

One softgel per day contains 520 mg of total omega-3 fatty acids, 510 mg of which is a composition of EPA and DHA to promote heart health, healthy skin, and healthy joints.
