Kerry has received a $21 million grant from the U.S. Department of Agriculture (USDA) under the Regional Conservation Partnership Program (RCPP) to support its “Midwest Greener Future” initiative.

The multi-state sustainable agriculture plan is a farm-focused approach to reduce carbon emissions and improve water quality across supply chains in Wisconsin, Minnesota, Illinois, and Indiana.

The company aims to cut enteric emissions from dairy cows by 59,800 metric tons using 3-NOP, reduce manure storage emissions by 22,500 metric tons, and achieve 327,491 metric tons of emission reductions and carbon sequestration in crop production.

The plan will also prevent 3,056,585 pounds of nitrogen and 218,328 pounds of phosphorous from contaminating water sources.
