Asiros Nordic Partners with Gummynology to Launch Prebiotic Gummies

The maltodextrin-free gummies will contain the supplier’s BerryShield juice powder ingredients.

Asiros Nordic, a Danish grower, manufacturer, and supplier of farm-to-finish Nordic berries, has partnered with the Clearwater, Florida-based Gummynology to launch a line of prebiotic gummies in the U.S. market.

The gummies are infused with prebiotic fibers, contain no added sugars, and are maltodextrin-free. Maltodextrin is typically used in the drying of juice powders to act as an anti-caking agent and to prevent clumping.

Asiros Nordic, a self-described “zero waste company,” is vertically-integrated, and offers complete transparency and traceability in its growing, harvesting, and manufacturing processes. Nordic berries are native to the Scandinavian and Danish region, and are sought after for their quality in the global market.

BerryShield premium juice powders, which will be used in the gummies, are 100% water-soluble, certified non-GMO, vegan, and are available in both organic and conventional options. They are standardized for anthocyanins and polyphenols, and are tested by the Purity-IQ certification program to ensure authenticity and purity. The BerryShield Premium line includes tart cherry, bilberry, aronia, elderberry, lingonberry, as well as red and black currant. They can be used in tablets, capsules, soft gels, gummies, sachets, and stick packs, as well as foods and beverages.

Gummynology has a 70,000 square-foot production facility which manufactures between two- and four million gummies daily, with the capacity for a daily output of 10 million gummies. The company also has expertise in product development, taste enhancement, and bitterness suppression. It also offers custom molds, bulk packaging, stock formulations, and the opportunity for brands to have dedicated production lines. The company can also work with heat-sensitive probiotic strains.
