Bayir Inc., Wilmington, DE, the newly launched North American division of Bayir Group of India, has revealed that its key facility in Bangalore, India, just received NSF GMP certification — certification number C0217775-01.

Bayir’s manufacturing plant is multi-functional, and is also ISO 22000:2005 certified, as well as certified by ANVISA Brazil, Hamburg Germany and Drug Controller of India. All the company’s facilities are audited and approved by several key international clients and organizations.

This plant manufactures pharmaceuticals-grade glucosamine, which is supported by multiple DMFs (Drug Master Files) in Europe, North America (Mexico), South America and the Middle East.

Bayir’s facility underwent a recent expansion in capacity, increasing from 600 tons to 900 tons annually. According to Sendhil Pani, head of international marketing, this was possible due to a strategic investment from Rabo Bank in the parent company.

“Anchoring and fueling all of Bayir’s manufacturing and processing capabilities is a true world-class R and D team,” says Pani. “From finished dosage forms to ingredients in the nutraceutical arena, our R&D has focused on and achieved breakthrough research that ensures tangible value for longevity in business and relevance in the ever-changing global market for nutritional and botanical health supplements and related products.”
