Bill Chioffi Joins Nammex as Chief Strategy and Innovation Officer

Nammex, a supplier of Certified Organic functional mushroom extracts, announced that Bill Chioffi has joined the company’s management team as chief strategy and innovation officer.
 
Chioffi has 30 years of experience in production and sales of herbal medicine within the natural products retail, manufacturing, and food and beverage sectors. Chioffi spent 21 years with Gaia Herbs in various roles, the most recent being vice president of global sourcing and sustainability.
 
Most recently, Chioffi was vice president of strategic partnerships and business development for the Ric Scalzo Institute for Botanical Research at Sonoran University of Health Sciences, creating partnerships with Arizona State University and companies from the natural products sector for funded botanical research projects for two years.
 
Chioffi has also served on multiple nonprofit boards including United Plant Savers, the Sustainable Herbs Program, and Appalachian Forest Farmers. He represents Nammex with the American Herbal Products Association.
