The Council for Responsible Nutrition (CRN) will host its annual Day on the Hill on Wednesday, June 11, 2025, in Washington, D.C. The advocacy event provides CRN members with the opportunity to meet in person with members of Congress and staff to discuss policy priorities for the dietary supplement and functional food industry.

With the increasing focus on health and wellness among lawmakers and government agencies, CRN said its 2025 Day on the Hill will highlight the industry’s role in supporting consumer access to safe, beneficial, and science-backed nutrition products. During meetings with lawmakers, CRN members will advocate for affordable and accessible supplements and functional food, along with policies that promote regulatory clarity, responsible innovation, and a level playing field for the industry.

“As our industry evolves and consumer interest in our products continues to grow, it is critical that policymakers understand the role dietary supplements and functional food play in supporting public health,” said Steve Mister, president and CEO of CRN. “Our Day on the Hill empowers our CRN members to engage directly with legislators, share industry insights, and ensure that the voices of responsible manufacturers and suppliers are heard in Washington.”

CRN’s advocacy efforts will focus on ensuring that dietary supplement regulation keeps pace with science and innovation while protecting consumer access to quality products. This year’s event will also emphasize the industry’s economic contributions to local communities as well as the potential cost savings to the healthcare system and the importance of a modernized regulatory framework.

“Engagement with Congress is more important than ever as we work to advance policies that foster trust, transparency, and innovation in the dietary supplement sector,” said Julia Gustafson, vice president of government relations at CRN. “CRN’s Day on the Hill is a powerful opportunity for industry leaders to shape the future of our regulatory environment by having their voices heard on Capitol Hill.”
