HealthLOQ, a tech company specializing in document authenticity services for the health and wellness industry, has partnered with the Global Retailer and Manufacturer Alliance (GRMA) to launch the Dietary Supplement Product Integrity Program.

The new program was developed through the consensus of industry stakeholders including brands, retailers, manufacturers, testing inspection and certification organizations, accreditation bodies, trade organizations, and more. The program promotes transparency, credibility, and scientific integrity in dietary supplements. The program provides consumers with assurance that a product contains what is listed on a label, and that it’s free from adulterants and contaminants.

HealthLOQ’s document protection software enables the exchange of electronic documents within the product integrity program. Retailers can automatically verify the authenticity and integrity of certificates of analysis (COAs), ensuring they’re untampered originals. It confirms the laboratories issuing COAs possess legitimate and authentic qualifying credentials. By participating in the product integrity program, HealthLOQ eliminates the ability for irresponsible or deceptive companies to manipulate or doctor product documentation.

HealthLOQ’s document protection software employs zero-knowledge proof, blockchain, and cryptography technologies, allowing for the validation of digital documents with confidentiality. Documents processed through HealthLOQ’s system are encrypted to create a unique digital fingerprint stored on a secure, immutable blockchain ledger. The digital fingerprint can be quickly compared to verify the authenticity of any document purported to be issued by an authorized affiliate.

Implementing HealthLOQ’s authentication service is fast and simple. It integrates with existing workflows, offering automation without disrupting current processes. It ensures the private and proprietary nature of documents is preserved, empowering swift document verification.

“We are proud to collaborate with GRMA on this exciting program, reinforcing our commitment to combating counterfeits and adulteration in the industry, while helping consumers to trust the supplements they buy are authentic,” said Derek Lurth, CEO of HealthLOQ. “GRMA’s leadership in bringing together a coalition of leading companies from across the industry to launch the Dietary Supplement Product Integrity Program is an enormous step towards the goal of global harmonization of quality standards for the industry.”

“We are thrilled about the launch of the new program and our strategic partnership with HealthLOQ, as their key technology addresses a crucial challenge for e-commerce and omni-channel selling platforms,” said Allyn Shultis, GRMA executive director. “By combining their technology with our program, we can help retailers create a marketplace where consumers can confidently make informed decisions about products based the label.”
