Berry Health Benefits Symposium Includes Panel on Dietary Supplements

The 9th Biennial Berry Health Benefits Symposium takes place Jan. 31 to Feb. 2. The online event will feature five virtual seminar sessions, presenting recent research that can attract media and consumer attention to berries.
 
The sessions will be available live via Zoom, and links to the recorded events will be shared post-symposium. Those who attend the live continuing professional education units (CPEUs) can be issued a certificate immediately following the symposium.
 
There will be two sessions on January 31, titled “The Effects of Acute Raspberry Intake on the Relationship Between Enhanced Metabolic Control and Cognitive and Psychomotor Funciton,” and “The Role of Dietary Berries in Glyciemic Control and Insulin Resistance.”
 
There will be three sessions on February 1: “Industry Panel – Broadening the Berry Basket with Berry Supplements”; “Blueberry Extracts as a Novel Approach to Prevent Ozone-Induced Cutaneous Inflammasome Activation”; and “The Gut Microbiome – Brain Connection: Variety is the Spice Brains Need.”
