In 2022, NOW gave its tea line a makeover, and the Give a Tea program began. For every two boxes of Give a Tea purchased by retailers, one box is donated to the Chicago area’s largest food bank. With the growth of the Give a Tea program and the support of retailers and consumers, NOW has donated over $1.1 million in cash and products to the Chicago Food Depository.

“When we became aware that food pantries urgently needed quality, healthy beverages, NOW developed this program to help fill the void,” said Dave Rosenberg, food category manager. “In October of 2022, we made our first donation to the Chicago Food Depository of 27,642 cartons of tea, representing the number of teas purchased during the first quarter of the program. The program has expanded to include 20 high-quality, functional teas in the lineup. With the enthusiastic support of retailers and consumers, we have collectively made a difference.”
