TSI Group has received two Informed Ingredient certifications for MyHMB and MyHMB Clear, which verify that each ingredient has been tested for impurities and substances which are banned in sports nutrition products.
 
Hydroxymethylbutyrate (HMB) is a metabolite of the amino acid leucine, and is studied for its role in improving muscle protein synthesis and recovery from exercise-induced damage. MyHMB is formulated to support muscle health for people of all ages and activity levels. MyHMB Clear is the free acid form of the ingredient, which offers enhanced bioavailability and absorption.

LGC Assure’s Informed Ingredient Certification is a testing process which involves the ingredient and its entire manufacturing process. The voluntary program assures manufacturers that ingredients are routinely tested for a wide range of prohibited substances and are free from adulteration or contaminants.

This certification follows the company’s USP verification that was granted last year, which made MyHMB the only USP-verified ingredient of its kind globally. Approximately 20 dietary supplements have achieved USP verification. MyHMB is the only HMB ingredient which is considered an Old Dietary Ingredient (ODI), GRAS self-affirmed, and compliant with the Food Safety Modernization Act, according to TSI Group.
