Zola & Jamba Juice Partner

San Francisco, CA-based Zola, maker of the first bottled açaí juice, and one of the fastest growing brands of functional Brazilian Superfruit beverages, has signed an exclusive licensing agreement with Jamba Juice. Working together the two companies will bring a new line of Daily Superfruit Shots to market. This alliance marks a major achievement for Zola in securing its position as a leader in the Superfruit category.

The relationship comes naturally for both companies as they share similar goals to create functionally beneficial product offerings using all natural, high quality ingredients, like delicious and nutritious Brazilian Superfruits.

“This is a huge step for Zola,” says Chris Cuvelier, founder and CEO of Zola Açaí. “We launched the company in 2002, armed with a steadfast mission that others would find our Açaí and Brazilian Superfruits as exceptional as we do, and now just a few years later, we’re joining forces with the iconic “better for you” beverage brand, Jamba Juice. Consumers are looking for maximum nutrition, but they want quality, and they want it conveniently. The Jamba Daily Superfruit Shots are designed perfectly for this health-conscious consumer. At about a dollar a shot, it’s a great value too.”

The new Superfruit Shots will be available in Jamba stores, grocery and other retail outlets in early 2011. The one ounce shots will feature three unique flavors: Açaí, with an antioxidant booster; Cupuaçu, with a vitality booster, and Acerola plus Caja, with a Vitamin C booster.

These new shots will allow Zola to further straddle both the juice and supplement categories, paving the way for the company to continue expansion and penetration in existing and new markets. Zola is experiencing triple digit growth, and expects that to continue, says Cuvelier.
