Blauvelt, NY-based RFI, LLC, has acquired Alta Quality Nutrition, a Modesto, CA-based contract manufacturer (both toll processing and turn-key manufacturing) involved in product development and raw material handling in the dietary supplement and food industries since 2008. The Modesto facility has dry product processing capabilities, including custom blending, grinding, milling and capsule and tablet production. In addition to bulk packaging, Alta offers numerous packaging options such as bottling, canning and pouching. The entire facility is organic, Kosher and AIB certified. Dave Ackerman, president and CEO of Alta, will become a member of RFI’s executive team and will spearhead business development on the West Coast. Mr. Ackerman said Alta customers will gain instant access to a broader spectrum of services.
