NPA Joins Internet Tax Freedom Act Coalition

Coalition is a partnership of businesses, associations and consumers that are dedicated to growing the 21st century Internet.

The Natural Products Association (NPA) said it will join the Internet Tax Freedom Act (ITFA) Coalition, becoming the first and only association dedicated entirely to the dietary supplement and natural products industry to join the tax coalition. The ITFA Coalition is a partnership of businesses, associations and consumers that are dedicated to growing the 21st century Internet economy.

“As online commerce continues to grow exponentially, we’re confident that the time is right to make a real push to make this legislation permanent,” said Dan Fabricant, PhD, executive director and CEO of NPA. “Nearly all of our members utilize the Internet to grow and expand their business and to get their products to consumers, regardless of whether they are businesses that sell to customers from stores in towns across the country or businesses that do most of their sales over the Internet.”

“The number one goal of NPA has been and always will be protecting the ability of its members to do business and to provide consumers with safe, affordable, and high quality products,” he added. “Our partnership with the ITFA Coalition further solidifies our commitment to ensuring that the millions of Americans who take supplements each and everyday can do so without the threat of new government tax burdens on their access to the Internet.”
