The Natural Products Association (NPA) has opened nominations for its Board of Directors. The recent change in the association’s bylaws, approved by the membership, reduces the size of the Board of Directors to be more efficient and effective with achieving the association’s mission and goals, NPA said. Only members that are current on their dues and in good standing may submit nominations and be eligible to be nominated. Each member can only cast one vote no matter the size of the company.

“Recent changes have ensured NPA is stronger and better positioned to serve its members than at any point in time during the association’s history,” said Dan Fabricant, PhD, CEO and executive director of NPA. “We are confident that our membership will select qualified and committed individuals to lead NPA into the future.”

Nominations are being accepted for the following positions:

  • Chair
  • Vice Chair
  • Treasurer
  • Secretary
  • Supplier at large (3 positions)
  • Retailer at large (2 positions)

Nominations must be submitted to the Natural Products Association’s national office in Washington, D.C. via e-mail or postmarked if sent through U.S. mail by Apr. 21, 2017. The election will be conducted strictly by electronic voting and mail through a third-party accountant. Election results will be announced in June after the third-party accountants tally the vote and certify the election results.

Nominations can be sent to Nominations@npainfo.org or:

Natural Products Association
440 1st Street NW, Ste 520
Washington, DC 20001.
