Carlson Introduces High-Strength Vitamin K2 as MK-7

Vitamin K2 as MK-7 is now available in a 90 mcg and 180 mcg strength.

Carlson Labs, Arlington Heights, IL, recently added two new products to their growing vitamin K line. Vitamin K2 as MK-7 is now available in a 90 mcg and 180 mcg strength, in addition to the already available 45 mcg strength. MK-7 is an enhanced, bioactive form of vitamin K that the company said has become increasingly popular as consumers recognize the importance of this missing nutrient for bone and cardiovascular system health.

Without vitamin K2, calcium can’t adequately be processed in our body to help maintain strong, healthy bones. Vitamin K2 activates certain proteins, including osteocalcin and Matrix GLA Protein (MGP), which play a role in binding calcium to the bone matrix. Without an adequate amount of vitamin K2, a significant amount of osteocalcin will remain inactive and unable to bind to calcium. MK-7 also supports cardiovascular system health by promoting healthy blood clotting and directing calcium to where our body needs it most: our bones.

Carlson provides high-strength MK-7 in small soft gels, making it easy to fill this nutritional gap.
