Lawrence He, PhD, president of PharmHe Global Corp., one of the world’s largest manufacturers of pharma-grade choline, betaine, and amino acids, stated that the new tariffs imposed by the United States Federal government will not affect its prices nor supply. 
 
“We absolutely guarantee sustainable supply and stock for our growing customer base in the U.S. and with reasonable pricing,” Dr. He stated.
 
Choline, betaine, and some amino acids are on the new tariff list, and these ingredients from China will be subject to 10% tariff increases. “Recently, our team has noticed that many in the U.S. market are panicking, and understandably so. We want to reassure the market that our ingredients will be in supply continuously in the U.S. with minor price increases to keep the market stable.”
 
PharmHe Global’s choline and betaine is manufactured by Jinan Asia Pharmaceutical Ltd., and its amino acids are made by Wuxi Jinghai Amino Acid Ltd. According to Dr. He, both are the largest producers of pharma-grade choline, betaine, and amino acids in Asia, and Wuxi Jinghai’s aminos are used globally by both pharma and nutrition companies.
