Kyowa Hakko USA has announced the launch of Velox, a patented blend of L-Citrulline and L-Arginine which has been shown in studies to increase nitric oxide production and boost nitric oxide levels more rapidly than supplementation solely with L-Arginine does. The product has received 4 U.S. patents, which cover the use of ingredients and related compounds within the blend. The effective dosage requires a minimum 1.2 grams of Kyowa’s L-Citrulline and 1.2 grams of Kyowa’s L-Arginine, and a ratio of 1:1 in order to support the associated health claims.

In supplements, its primary applications are to promote the production of nitric oxide, which can improve circulation and help blood vessels relax. Preliminary research is evaluating its other impacts on the circulatory system, such as whether it can benefit cramps, erectile dysfunction, and migraines.
