Bio Health Worldwide Virtual Event Open Until Oct. 30

The virtual event features experts, buyers, and companies seeking investment across the South Korean Health Industry, as well as 50 other countries.

Bio Health Worldwide Online (BWHO), an online exhibition featuring conferences, a virtual expo, and meeting spaces for experts within both the global and South Korean health markets, is open for its first edition until Oct. 30. The event was organized by the South Korean Ministry of Trade, Industry, and Energy, and co-managed by Informa Markets and KOTRA (Korean Trade-Investment Promotion Agency).
 
The event is attended by experts in both the nutraceutical and pharmaceutical spaces, including those within the industry, South Korean regulatory agencies, and members of multiple international health organizations, including the World Health Organization (WHO).
 
The BHWO virtual exhibition features booths, in which visitors can access exhibitors’ profiles, product images, videos, and 3D modeling clips in the exhibition pavilion. Exhibitors and visitors can also send meeting requests and messages to one another, and confirmed meetings can be carried out in the virtual “matchmaking” pavilion.
 
A number of virtual conferences are taking place during the exhibition as well. On Oct. 20, A discussion on COVID-19 preparedness, response, and laboratory diagnosis in Korea was carried out by WHO, Korea Disease Control and Prevention Agency, Johnson and Johnson, GC Labs, Noble Bio, DK Medical Systems, PCL, and Micro Biomed. That same day, a discussion on COVID-19 vaccine development, trends in the Korean biopharmaceutical industry, impurities within active pharmaceutical ingredients, and more were held, featuring experts from organizations including the International Vaccine Institute, the German Association of Research-based Pharmaceutical Companies, Korea Biotechnology Industry Organization, Daewoong Pharmaceuticals, Chong Kun Dang Pharmaceutical Corporation, European Directorate for the Quality of Medicines and Healthcare, and Aspen Oss B.V.
 
On Oct. 21, a presentation on digital healthcare industry trends, the basics of digital therapeutics, and preparation for post-COVID-19 in Korea will be made by companies including Pacific RIM Pathology, Digital Therapeutics Alliance, the Korea Digital Health Industry Association, Life Semantics, insung Information, Techheim, and WELT.
 
Exhibitors seeking investment, including Basel Area Business & Innovation, the Seoul Business Agency, Prestige Biologics, Rokit Healthcare, Smart Diagnosis, AIDOT, Stemlab, and others will showcase products, services, and other solutions, which are freely available to check out via both the conference and webinars, which are accessible for free to all visitors following registration.
 
According to the organizers of the event, there are currently 450 buyer companies from over 50 countries attending the event. “BHWO 2020 will provide unprecedented opportunities for health professionals across the industry to engage with the South Korean health market,” BHWHO organizers said in the announcement.
