Cymbiotika Debuts Elderberry Product with New Delivery System

The micelle/liposomal delivery system is designed to protect nutrients through all stages of digestion.

Dietary supplement brand Cymbiotika recently announced the launch of its latest vegan, non-GMO products, Liposomal Elderberry Defense, an elderberry supplement with a patented micelle/liposomal delivery system designed to ensure maximum absorption by increasing the bioavailability of the bioactive compounds present in elderberry. The elderberry formulation is the first to utilize the company’s delivery system.

“With this technology, we place these powerful immune enhancing nutrients inside of micelles encased in liposomes, tiny bubbles built from phospholipids [fats] that mimic the body’s cell membranes. Liposomes are designed to pass through all stages of digestion so that nutrients stay intact and are quickly absorbed into the bloodstream,” Cymbiotika CEO Shahab Elmi.

Elderberry is evidenced by some clinical trials to significantly reduce flu infection rates, and is also packed with vitamins and minerals that are shown to support immune function. The supplement also contains added zinc, copper, echinacea, and selenium to support healthy immune function and wellness year-round.

Elderberries also contain antioxidant flavonols and anthocyanins, which mitigate free radicals and ameliorate oxidative stress and its related inflammatory responses, among other promising and potentially beneficial properties.

“Our unique formula has 850 mg of elderberry extract from freeze-dried organic elderberry juice, not from concentrates like most products on the market,” Cymbiotika founder Chervin Jafarieh said. “We also added a powerful immune stimulating herb, echinacea, along with sodium ascorbate, an alkaline form of vitamin C. Each of these ingredients are in the most bioavailable form and have been hand selected to support the immune system and ward off pathogens, bacteria, and viruses.”

Liposomal Elderberry Defense can be taken directly from the pouch, or added to water, smoothies, coffee, tea, or any food.
