Danone to Sell Vega as Part of Portfolio Review

The plant-based nutrition brand will be purchased by WM Partners, a firm focused on the U.S. health and wellness industry.

Essential dairy and plant-based nutrition company Danone recently announced that it will sell Vega, its Canada and U.S. plant-based nutritional products brand, to funds managed by WM Partners, a U.S.-based private equity investment firm focused on the health and wellness industry.
 
Danone sold Vega as part of its continuous effort optimize its capital allocation, and strategically review its overall portfolio of brands, SKUs, and assets, which was originally announced in 2020. The closing of the transaction is subject to customary conditions, Danone reports.
