CRN Announces New Staff Appointments

The new hires of Mike Meirovitz, Erin Storer, and Anthony Esteban round out CRN's team to 20 total staff positions.

The Council for Responsible Nutrition (CRN), a trade association representing the dietary supplement and functional food industry, has made three new appointments to its staff.

CRN welcomed Mike Meirovitz as director of government relations. Prior to joining CRN, Meirovitz held positions with two prominent Washington, D.C.-based lobbying firms, along with a health-focused trade association. His work has included representation for Fortune 500 companies, national research universities, small businesses and start-ups, and local governments. His efforts have helped his clients to secure project funding and insert uniquely beneficial language in larger pieces of legislation. He began his career in Washington interning for five Congressional offices, including the Senate H.E.L.P. Committee’s Health Policy Office.

A native of Boston, Mass., Meirovitz graduated from Penn State University where he earned a B.A. in Political Science. He later attended Johns Hopkins University and graduated summa cum laude with an M.A. in Government.

Erin Storer has been hired as CRN’s manager of scientific and regulatory affairs, and will provide administrative and logistical support for the science and regulatory affairs team.  Her most recent professional experience includes interning in an employee wellness program and working as a medical office coordinator. She holds a bachelor’s degree in Community Health from the University of Maryland (College Park).

Anthony Esteban joins CRN as a membership associate following a five-year stint at the Howard County Recreation Dept. In his new role as a database specialist, he is responsible for providing technical and administrative support for the organization’s membership department, along with maintaining the association’s database and assisting with administration of its Supplement OWL (Online Wellness Library), the industry’s voluntary dietary supplement label registry.

Esteban holds a bachelor’s degree in English Literature from the University of South Florida.

“We are delighted to welcome Mike, Tony and Erin to the CRN staff team. Their arrivals bring CRN back to its full complement of 20 staff positions and with all that is going on in the industry, CRN is grateful to be running at full steam for our members. We couldn’t be more pleased with the range of talents and experience our team brings to the table and our dedicated focus on the dietary supplement and functional food industry,“ said Steve Mister, CRN’s president & CEO.
