Batory Foods Acquires Tri-State Companies

Batory’s presence grows with Ohio company.

Batory Foods, headquartered in Rosemont, IL, announced the addition of Ohio-based food ingredients distributor, broker, and logistics provider Tri-State Companies. With the acquisition of Tri-State’s 100,000 square-foot, multi-temperature zone distribution center, Batory Foods will expand its outreach in the Northeast, Midwest, and Southwest regions.  
 
Tri-State Companies specializes in offering technical formulation assistance as well as selling food ingredients in the Cincinnati area. It is family-owned and began operations in 1961. In 1973 the company expanded into sweeteners and by 1994 began offering food ingredient inventory consolidation services to national food companies. 
 
As a full-service ingredients provider, Tri-State Companies represents quality industrial suppliers of raw food materials and sells these ingredients on a brokerage and distribution basis to users across 23 states and three counties within the Southeast, Midwest, and Northeast.

Tri-State’s cold storage facility will guarantee the safekeeping of temperature sensitive inventory, shipping times will be streamlined and reduced due to the location of the warehouse. This facility spans a 14-acre plot in Warren County, OH and will broaden Batory Foods’ national supply chain network and offer a complete portfolio of high-quality food ingredients to food and beverage manufacturers nationwide.
