Barentz Enters Distribution Agreement for Ashland’s Vialose Parenteral Excipient

The trehalose dihydrate parenteral excipient will enable pharma/biopharma customers’ access to its functional ingredients.

Barentz, a life science and specialty ingredients distributor, has signed an agreement to distribute the parenteral trehalose dihydrate excipient Vialose in the U.S., which is produced by Ashland, Inc. The excipient is suitable for parenteral nutrition.
 
Ashland, in conjunction with Barentz’s customer service, regulatory support, and technical sales, will provide differentiated, value-added solutions.
 
“We are thrilled to offer Ashland Vialose trehalose dihydrate, a high purity lyoprotectant and stabilizer for biologics and parenterals in the US market. This collaboration strengthens our biopharma portfolio and enables our pharma/ biopharma customers access to premium functional ingredients” said Divya Tewari, president of the pharmaceutical division at Barentz.
