Women In Nutraceuticals to Host Networking Reception, Education Session at SupplySide East

Several industry experts at the session will discuss substantiating the claims behind women’s health products.

Women in Nutraceuticals (WIN), a non-profit focused on the professional and personal potential of women in the industry, will host a networking event and partner on a session about formulating products for women at SupplySide East.
 
The education session, “Substantiating Products for Women – Building Trust Through Science,” will take place on April 16 at 1:45 p.m. in the Education Theater on the show floor. Topics that will be addressed include whether or not to formulate with a branded ingredient, specific requirements of clinical trials for women and how that could impact structure/function claims, and how claims pertaining to women’s health are regulated.
 
Speakers include Linda Alvarez, MD, MBA, founder and CEO of Levelle Nutrition; Lauren Aronson, advertising and consumer protection partner at Amin Talati Wasserman; Rachel Kreider, VP of product innovation, GNC; Salma Fathalla, ASQ, CQA, senior director of quality and regulatory, JDS Therapeutics / Bonafide Health; and Cassie Smith, CPA, Aldrich CPAs & Advisors.
 
The #WINtogether Gender Equity Networking Reception takes place on April 17 from 11:15 a.m. to 12:15 p.m. at the Connect Hub space, and is open to all SupplySide East attendees, who can learn more about WIN’s commitment to empowering women in the industry to develop their personal and professional potential and how to get involved.
