Stratum Enters U.K. Distribution Agreement with Sibelius

Sibelius will exclusively distribute Stratum’s NEM and sage extract, after recently selling its sage extract to the latter company.

Stratum Nutrition has entered into an agreement with Sibelius Natural Products, in which Sibelius will exclusively distribute Stratum’s sage extract for cognitive health, and NEM, an eggshell membrane ingredient for joint health, in the U.K.

“Stratum is thrilled to partner with Sibelius for distribution of NEM and sage in the UK market,” Chris Haynes, senior director of global sales at Stratum, said. “As many will recall, Stratum just completed a purchase of Sibelius:Sage ingredient and now we get to continue utilizing their expertise in the UK market. We are looking forward to working with Sibelius and the awesome team there.”

NEM is derived from the inner membrane of chicken eggshells, and naturally contains collagen, glucosamine, chondroitin, and hyaluronic acid, which work synergistically to support joint health, the company reports.

Stratum’s sage extract is standardized to high levels of rosmarinic acid, the bioactive compound associated with sage’s cognitive health benefits. It is fully traceable and non-GMO, cultivated using specific farming protocols, conditions, and harvesting methods that ensure consistency and standardization.

“We are pleased to announce our partnership with Stratum as the U.K. distributor for sage and their flagship ingredient, NEM, under Oxford Natural Products,” said Peter Leyland, CEO of Sibelius. “Following the successful sale of Sibelius:Sage to Stratum earlier this year, we are excited to collaborate with them as we both work towards meeting consumers’ needs with natural and clinically-proven ingredients.”
