The International Aloe Science Council (IASC), Silver Spring, MD, has elected seven members to serve three-year terms on its board of directors. The recently-elected directors will work with 10 current directors to govern the association. IASC directors work with IASC staff and committees to set policies, priorities, and guidance for the association, and take action to promote the science of aloe vera and its use in a multitude of consumer products.
 
The newly-elected directors include Chris Clarke, vice president, Winning Solutions/Miracle of Aloe; Ramiro Estrada Evalos, chief executive officer, Aloe Jaumave; Charles Metcalfe, president, Custom Analytics; Xavier Resendez, vice president of Aloe Operations, Aloe Vera of America; Santiago Rodriguez, chief executive officer, Lorand Laboratories; John Sigrist, president, Southern Fields Aloe; and Virginia Smothers, operations manager, Naturtech.
