Todd Abraham Joins USP Board of Trustees

Research and nutrition expert joins USP’s Board to strengthen its Food Ingredients Programs.

The U.S. Pharmacopeial Convention (USP), Rockville, MD, Welcomed Todd Abraham, Ph.D., as an at-large trustee of USP’s Board of Trustees. An expert in food science, innovation, and knowledge management, Dr. Abraham is senior vice president of research and nutrition at Mondelēz International, a leading multinational food and beverage company.
 
“Dr. Abraham will provide valuable insight to USP’s current and emerging foods programs,” said Ronald T. Piervincenzi, PhD, chief executive officer of USP. “As we venture into new areas and expand our global reach in the food ingredients arena, Dr. Abraham will be a welcome addition to an already exceptional group of leaders from public health, industry and health care who comprise our board.”
 
At Mondelēz International, Dr. Abraham is responsible for long term, cross-business innovative research and nutrition programs as well as training and science support to business units and centers of excellence. In this role, he also works closely with the corporate health and wellness team. Additionally, Dr. Abraham works with a series of groups focusing on innovative consumer methodologies.
 
Dr. Abraham is a 16-year veteran of Mondelēz International and its legacy companies, Kraft Foods and Nabisco, where he was responsible for new product development. Prior to Mondelēz International, Dr. Abraham held leadership positions in marketing, general management and R&D at Pillsbury and Procter and Gamble.
