ProSperity, a brand from Foresight Brands, Waterloo, NE, is introducing a new probiotic for weight management.
 
ProSperity utilizes a proprietary probiotic called Biosyntric. The active probiotic in Biosyntric appears to suppress weight gain and body fat accumulation, according to the company. The formula is stimulant-free. “ProSperity replenishes a good bacterial strain that is missing in those who are overweight,” explained Foresight Brands CEO Sheldon Harris.
 
Inspiration for the product was derived from emerging research demonstrating that the type of bacteria colonizing in the gut of overweight individuals was different than that found in lean people. Scientists suggested reintroduced the “lean” bacteria species into overweight subjects could support weight loss.
