Glanbia and Güdpod Corp. Plan to Shake up Protein Market

Pod-based delivery system innovator and protein market leader sign letter of intent, launch search for retail partner.

Güdpod Corp., developer and manufacturer of a pod-based functional beverage system, and Glanbia Performance Nutrition have signed a letter of intent to partner on bringing to market the functional beverage technology featuring Glanbia’s well-known brands such as Optimum Nutrition, BSN, thinkThin, and Amazing Grass. As part of their joint effort, the companies are currently identifying qualified retail partners.
 
The move will pair Güdpod’s advanced, multi-patent protected pod-based delivery system and Glanbia’s branded, premium quality powdered whey protein, amino acid, pre-workout, and post-workout recovery products. It combines the convenience of an advanced pod-based system with the market leader in branded, premium protein products to make delicious nutritional shakes at home or at work without the clean-up and storage issues typically associated with the process.
