Concordix will showcase its supplement delivery technology, which, according to the company, is associated with significantly greater nutrient absorption compared to softgels.
“Concordix is a Nordic supplement technology owned by Vitux AS that originated from the pioneering idea to deliver nutrients as effectively as food, which is how the body prefers to receive them,” said Catherine Nardone, global marketing director. “Concordix supplements provide consumer-friendly alternatives in all nutritional categories where better potency, bioavailability, and compliance are important.
“At the same time, our original Concordix supplements offer an entirely new sensory experience, transforming supplementation from just a routine to a delightful and engaging part of daily wellness.”
Nardone noted that medicinal and candy formats don’t deliver nutrients in a similar way to food matrices.
“Concordix is the first generation of high-tech supplements designed specifically for how the human body absorbs nutrients. This innovative technology mirrors how the body naturally processes food, from chewing to digestion to absorption. By working in harmony with your body’s innate processes, Concordix maximizes the benefits you receive from taking supplements. This concept resonates with health-conscious consumers who want supplements that are based on understanding and respecting how the body works.”
The Concordix supplement technology is the result of more than 10 years of research and development by Norwegian scientists in partnership with universities. The technology is designed to replicate the natural process of eating food in order to enhance bioavailability, and can contain water- and fat-soluble ingredients in the same formulation. The chewables can achieve high potency, with one sugar-free chewable capable of delivering “the equivalent amount of DHA and EPA in 20 standard gummies.” The supplements are sustainably produced in Arctic Norway and are individually and hygienically sealed in a blister pack to protect against oxidation.
“Concordix is the future of supplement nutrition,” said Nardone. “There is an undercurrent of excitement wherever we go. We look forward to having many productive conversations during this year’s SupplySide West, because the supplement industry and consumers are ready for this change.”
