HealthTech BioActives (HTBA), a manufacturer of citrus flavonoids and active forms of vitamin B12, will highlight its latest innovations in functional ingredients and taste modulation. This includes a new gummy concept featuring a citrus extract called cardiose, which will be featured at the event’s tasting bar on Oct. 30.
The company’s presentation, “Boost Physical Performance with Citrus Flavonoids,” led by Juan I Cacho, PhD, scientific and regulatory affairs specialist, will cover the latest research insights about Cardiose’s potential in active performance at noon on Oct. 30, at the presentation theater (Booth 3683).
HTBA will highlight two of its flagship ingredients can meet demand for clean-label, natural, and scientifically-backed supplements. Cardiose, a sweet orange polyphenol extract obtained through a proprietary process, is evidenced to support cardiovascular health and active performance, while MecobalActive, an active, pure form of vitamin B12, is evidenced to enhance cognitive function and support energy and sleep.
HTBA’s strawberry dragon fruit flavored Cardiose gummies will be available for sampling at the company’s booth and the expo’s Tasting Bar. The gummy prototypes deliver 500 mg of Cardiose each.
“This is a really exciting time for us to be exhibiting at SupplySide West,” said Tom D’hoore, chief commercial officer. “The holistic health trend, rising consumer scrutiny of claims and the drive for more sustainable manufacturing processes have created a market that we’re ideally positioned to serve. Our understanding of the industry, combined with our pharmaceutical heritage and green manufacturing processes make us as unique – and trusted – as the health and nutrition products we co-create with our customers. We’re looking forward to meeting with new and existing partners in Las Vegas, so that together we can explore opportunities to launch the industry’s next success stories.”
Alongside its functional health ingredients, HBTA will showcase its expertise in taste modulation, via dark chocolate enhanced by advanced taste modulation solutions, to mask the natural bitterness of the chocolate. Visitors can also experience a functional mocha cold brew coffee featuring HTBA’s taste modulation technology and Olews olive leaf extract.
